Ankita Agarwal cleared IAS Exam in her 3rd attempt and got the 2nd Rank (AIR)

Ankita hails from Kolkata, West Bengal, and has completed Economics Hons from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University in 2017

When asked about her interests and training, Ankita said that she has been trained in economics and has an interest in development economics

When questioned about her future plans, she stated that after entering the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), she would like to work for women's empowerment and primary healthcare

Ankita explained that instead of calculating the hours, she used to spend time as much as she could for exam preparation. "Rather of putting in a certain number of hours, I sought to establish a sustainable study routine," she explained

Ankita said, "I considered appearing for UPSC while I was in my second year of college. Even then, I was unsure, so I worked for a year in the private sector."

This is something that will stick with me for a long time. My mother and all of my other relatives were really thrilled since I live in a joint family."
