Garima Lohia a resident of Bihar's Buxar district ranked 2nd in UPSC Civil Services
Lohia is a graduate in Commerce from Kirorimal College, University of Delhi. She secured the second rank with Commerce and Accountancy as her optional.
Garima has got 2nd Rank in her second Attempt. She has done here studies till class 10th in Buxar only. And after that she went to Banaras for further studies.
Garima said that she has started preparing for Civil Services during Covid. And further said that the entire preparation for UPSC was done from her home only. "Study Where you feel Comfortable, The Place doesn't matter" - In her words.
Garima Lohia said that she used to study for 15-15 hours at exam time, while at the rest of days she used to study for 3 to 4 hours
Garima is from commerce background, On her success she said, she wanted to become an IAS since childhood. She further said, "I will lay special emphasis on women empowerment and education"
On asking which cadre she will choose, she said "I will choose Bihar cadre. I have got everything from the soil of Bihar, so I want to do something here for Bihar."
And speaking to her mother, Garima's Mother Said "today there are no words to say anything on the success of her daughter. Garima has been good at reading since childhood. I cannot express my happiness today."
