Yasharth father is currently the district judge of Balarampur and due to the transferable job, Yasharth had to move to a lot of places during his studies.

He has been dreaming to crack UPSC for past 6 years and finally got good rank in his 3rd attempt.

Yasharth gave three attempts, the first one is in 2019. He couldn’t crack prelims that time but in the next attempt which is in 2020, he reached the interview level.

“My total score was 931 but cut off went to 944, and just by 13 marks difference my name was not listed. " he said in an interview.

"I did get disappointed, but this gave me hope that it’s a very small gap and I can sail through in the next attempt.”

He says he studied for 9 to 11 hours per day and his focus has been on writing essays. And also said he solved a lot of question papers and test series during his preparation.

For relaxation, Yasharth says he would watch cricket or movies.

He said that the job provides an opportunity to work in areas where their work can directly affect the common people. "It is diversified services which makes it more interesting. It is one of the few services that is pro-people and not anything else. I was fascinated about it due to this."
