Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme 2025 | Application Form, Eligibility, Scholarship Amount: The Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme 2025, launched by AICTE, aims to support meritorious students pursuing Diploma and Degree courses in core engineering branches at AICTE-approved institutions. This initiative is in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes the need to strengthen technical education. The Yashasvi Scholarship 2025 offers financial assistance of Rs. 50,000 per year for Degree students and Rs. 30,000 per year for Diploma students to encourage them to pursue careers in the engineering sector.

Students applying for the Yashasvi Scholarship 2025 can submit their applications online through the official website yashasvi.aicte.gov.in before 10th March 2025. The selection process is based on merit, considering the 12th-grade marks for Degree applicants and 10th-grade marks for Diploma applicants. Lateral entry students will be evaluated based on their Diploma scores. Once selected, the Yashasvi Scholarship amount will be disbursed annually through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.

Yashasvi Scholarship 2025 – Objective

The field of higher education is currently undergoing a transformative phase to adapt to global trends. The National Education Policy (NEP) of 2020 serves as a guiding light for this transformative journey. It is needless to mention that the core branches of engineering play a pivotal role in the growth of manufacturing industries. To motivate students to pursue engineering education at the Diploma and UG level in the core branches of engineering, AICTE has formulated a Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme for meritorious students seeking admission in core branches of Engineering.

Yashasvi Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 2025

• The candidate should be admitted to the First year of a Degree/ Diploma level course in any of the AICTE-approved institutions of the respective year. (OR)
• The second year of Degree/ Diploma Level course through lateral entry in any of the AICTE Approved Institute of the respective year.
• Family Income from all sources should not be more than Rs. 8 Lakh per annum during the current financial year. A valid income certificate issued by the State/ UT Government needs to be enclosed.

PM Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme 2025 – Number Of Scholarships

• As per the Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme, A total of 5,200 scholarships (2,593 for degree courses and 2,607 for diploma courses) are earmarked per annum under this scheme for students pursuing the First year of Degree/ Diploma level engineering courses in any of the AICTE-approved Institutions.
• State/ Union Territory-wise distribution of 5,200 scholarships (2,593 for degree courses and 2,607 for diploma courses) is as per Annexure-A.

Amount Of Scholarship

Degree Level Students

• As per the Yashasvi Scholarship, the amount of the Scholarship is Rs. 50,000/- per annum for every year of study i.e. maximum of 4 years for first-year admitted students and 3 years for Lateral Entry Students.

Diploma Level Students

• As per the Yashasvi Scholarship, the amount of the Scholarship is Rs. 30,000/- per annum for every year of study i.e. maximum of 3 years for first-year admitted students and 2 years for Lateral Entry Students.

Mode Of Payment

As Per the Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme, After selection, the awardee will be paid a scholarship through DBT mode on an annual basis.

Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme 2025 – Renewal

• The Yashasvi Scholarship will be renewed for the next year of study on receipt of renewal by submitting a passing certificate/ mark sheet along with a letter from the Head of the Institution on the online portal.
• Students failing to get promoted to the next class/ level would forfeit the scholarship.

Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme 2025 – Selection Criteria

Degree Level Students:

• The Yashasvi scholarship selection of candidates will be carried out based on the merit of the qualifying examination (12th grade) to pursue the Technical Degree Core branch of Engineering from any of the AICTE-approved institutions.
• Selection of candidates under lateral entry will be based on an average consolidated percentage of Marks in all 6 semesters of the Diploma. Limited to 10% of total seat allocation in respective states.
• In case the number of allotted scholarships in any state is below 10 as per the calculation, a minimum 10 number of scholarships will be allotted in that State/UT.
• State/ UT-wise merit list will be prepared as per the number of scholarships allotted in point number 3.0 above.

Diploma Level Students:

• The selection of candidates will be carried out solely based on the merit of qualifying qualification (10th grade) to pursue the technical Diploma core branch of engineering from any of the AICTE-approved institutions
• In case the number of allotted scholarships in any state is below 10 as per the calculation, a minimum 10 number of scholarships will be allotted in that State/ UT.
• State/ UT-wise merit list will be prepared as per the number of scholarships allotted in point number 3.0 above.

Note: In case any of the seats remain unoccupied in lateral entry quota then seats may be allocated to the open category or vice versa.
