Requirements | Technical Support Engineer
- Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
- BTech/ MCA degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field
- Good working experience with CLI in log analysis, file manipulation, search, etc
- Hands-on with Shell commands with intermediate-level competency
- Working experience in cloud CLI is a big plus
- GCP Gsuites is a major plus
- Familiarity with the JIRA ticketing system
- Hands-on with SQL queries and operations on fairly large data sets across RDBMS and OLAP DB’
- Ability to work with browser developer tools to identify issues in UI/SDK’s
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
Responsibilities – Technical Support Engineer
- You should be able to research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues
- You should be able to ask the customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem
- You should diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration
- You should be able to talk to the clients through a series of actions, either via phone, email, or chat until they’ve solved a technical issue
- You will track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
- You should properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software developers)
- You will refer to the internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions
- You will provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
- You will ensure all issues are properly logged
- You should be able to prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
- You will follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
- You will prepare accurate and timely reports
