Requirements | Technical Support Engineer

  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
  • BTech/ MCA degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field
  • Good working experience with CLI in log analysis, file manipulation, search, etc
  • Hands-on with Shell commands with intermediate-level competency
  • Working experience in cloud CLI is a big plus
  • GCP Gsuites is a major plus
  • Familiarity with the JIRA ticketing system
  • Hands-on with SQL queries and operations on fairly large data sets across RDBMS and OLAP DB’
  • Ability to work with browser developer tools to identify issues in UI/SDK’s
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal

Responsibilities – Technical Support Engineer

  • You should be able to research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues
  • You should be able to ask the customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem
  • You should diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration
  • You should be able to talk to the clients through a series of actions, either via phone, email, or chat until they’ve solved a technical issue
  • You will track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
  • You should properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software developers)
  • You will refer to the internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions
  • You will provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
  • You will ensure all issues are properly logged
  • You should be able to prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
  • You will follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
  • You will prepare accurate and timely reports
  • You adhere to Zeotap’s company, privacy, and information security policies and procedures
  • You should be able to document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
  • You complete all the awareness training assigned on time
